Application for power production and trade tariff for the period 1 July – 31 December 2016
On 16 May 2016, the company KESH sh.a submitted to the Energy Regulatory Entity the application for the tariff to be applied in selling the power to OSHEE/Universal Service Provider of Electricity for the period 01 July – 31 December 2016.
The application for Tariff for the period 01 July – 31 December 2016 was drafted based on the provisions of the Law No. 43/2015, dated 30/04/2015 “On Power Sector”, and DCM No. 244, dated 30/03/2016 “On approval of the conditions for the imposition of the public service obligation, which shall apply to licensees in the power sector, exercising the activity of power production, transmission, distribution and supply”. Furthermore, the calculation of the tariff by KESH sh.a has been done taking into account the spirit of the reforms undertaken by the Albanian Government upon decision No. 171, dated 25/02/2015 “On approval of the plan for the financial recovery of the power sector”

PRESS RELEASE On 16 May 2016, the company KESH sh.a submitted to the Energy Regulatory Entity the application for the tariff to be applied in selling the power to OSHEE/Universal Service Provider of Electricity for the period 01 July – 31 December 2016. In the application for tariff submitted to ERE for the period 01/07/2016 – 31/12/2016, the company KESH sh.a has foreseen coverage of operating expenses, capital cost, investment and settlement of liabilities incurred as a result of the so far exercising the function of the Public Wholesale Supplier, a function which according to DCM 244/2016 it will no longer perform as of 01/07/2016. With reference to the above, through the application submitted to the ERE for the tariff to be applied in selling the power to OSHEE/Universal Service Provider of Electricity for the period 01 July – 31 December 2016, KESH sh.a foresees the following: ? Reduction of the current tariff used by KESH sh.a to sell power to OSHEE sh.a/Universal Service Provider from ALL 3.00/kWh to ALL 2.91/kWh; Upon approval by ERE of the tariff proposed by KESH sh.a for the period 01 July – 31 December 2016, the company KESH sh.a intends to realize an optimum operation of the power generating units, providing to tariff customers power at lower costs and creating the possibility to improve its own financial situation and further development of the activity of the company in the reformed power market.
