SENA-Solar Energy of Albania

SENA Company is a joint stock company established on 30/03/2021 where the Albanian Electric Corporation owns 100% of the shares. The company was created within the financing agreement for the construction of the floating photovoltaic plant in Vaun e Deja between KESH sh.a and EBRD. The main focus of the company is the development and operation of the floating photovoltaic plant in Vaun e Deja, but not only.

Also, the company’s objective of activity is to be involved in any transaction and/or engagement in legal activities for the purposes of which a joint stock company may be established according to the laws of Albania, with their changes from time to time, where it is included without limitation as below:

• Study, design, construction, operation and administration of the floating photovoltaic plant in the lake of HEC Vau Deja and related systems for the production of energy from the sun, their repair as well as maintenance and technical support;
• Production, sale, trading, research, generally all support services in the field of industry and energy;
• Participation in all types of tenders in the field of energy, whether Albanian or foreign;
• Commercial activities in the field of energy;
• Carrying out any commercial activity or any action in Albania or abroad, which is directly or indirectly related to the above object of the Company or which is necessary for the promotion of the Company’s business and the achievement of the Company’s objectives.

The company can carry out any other activity which is not prohibited by the law in force. It can perform any type of activity in relation to the object for which it was created. Currently, the company is in the phase of procurement of the contract for the implementation of the construction project of the floating photovoltaic plant and the supervision of these works.

The implementation of the project is expected to start in the summer of next year.
