Scope

The contract is signed with the Company “Andritz Hydro Austria” and currently is in its implementation phase. The contract includes: the rehabilitation of four Units in Koman HPP and the rehabilitation of two cranes of the machinery room and the crane of the Throttle room.

The objectives of this project are:

• Increasing Units availability and their work reliability
• Increasing the quality of power supply through the increase and improvement of power generation efficiency from
hydro sources, also spurring a sustainable growth in the certainty of power supply in the regional power market.

Main activities

Below are the main activities of the project:

• Rehabilitation of the throttles
• Rehabilitation of the turbines
• Rehabilitation of the generators
• Rehabilitation of the generators fire extinguishing system
• Rehabilitation of 13.8 kV switch-disconnecter.
• Rehabilitation of secondary equipment, such as: technical water system, pressure air system, breakage system
• Rehabilitation of 2 x 200/25/5 Ton cranes in the machinery room and rehabilitation of 60/5 ton in the room of
• Rehabilitation of transformers in the block GT 170 MVA.
• Rehabilitation of fire extinguishers of the transformers in the block GT 170 MVA.
• Replacement of control, protection, excitation panel
• Installation of the technical water chlorination for all the four Units
• Installation or the oil-water separator equipment from the tanks of all four transformers of the block
• Rehabilitation of the drainage and profundity pumps
• Installation of the generator monitoring system
• Replacement of 48 V DC, 125 V DC battery rectifiers and the inverter
• Replacement of the own consumption supply panel in the control room and generators room
• Replacement of the supply and control panels of the ventilation system
• Replacement of 1 and 2 CMS panels (Control Monitoring System) of own consumption AC, DC.
• Installation of the control monitoring panels in the control room
• Installation of the control monitoring system in the dam.

Expectations

Currently, rehabilitation works and commissioning have been completed in the Unit No.2 (the first rehabilitated) as well as the cranes in the machinery room and Throttle room. Unit No.2 has initiated the test of monthly operation under load on September 26, 2015, also on September 29, 2015, the measurements before rehabilitation for the subsequent Unit No.3 have initiated After the completion of the rehabilitation project:
All the four Units in Koman HPP will be rehabilitated, increasing the efficiency, certainty of power supply and the
improvement of quality indicators of the supply.
