Regional Workshop – Enhancing project bankability with the Hydropower Sustainability Standard

The regional workshop is being developed with the aim of advancing the sustainability of hydropower plants in the Western Balkans. The Western Balkans is a powerhouse of renewable energy potential. Recognizing this, IHA is cooperating with KESH sh.a and SECO to organize a seminar on April 30, 2024, in Tirana.

Purpose? To delve into the tangible benefits that sustainable practices bring to the development of hydropower plants. In the workshop, it will be discussed how the Hydropower Sustainability Standard can improve environmental and social care and attract attention to investors looking for sustainable investment opportunities.

The participation will be from all the countries of the Western Balkans and the target is: hydropower corporations and industries, Central and Local Government Units, Universities and Civil Society.
