SENA is a joint-stock company established on March 30, 2021, in which the Albanian Power Corporation (KESH) owns 100% of the shares. The company was created within the framework of the financing agreement for the construction of the floating photovoltaic plant in Vau i Dejës, signed between KESH sh.a and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The primary focus of the company is the development and operation of the floating photovoltaic plant in Vau i Dejës, but not exclusively.
Additionally, the company’s activity includes engaging in any transaction and/or legal activities that a joint-stock company may undertake under Albanian law, as amended, including but not limited to:
- Studying, designing, constructing, operating, and managing the floating photovoltaic plant on the Vau i Dejës Hydropower Plant reservoir and the related systems for solar energy production, as well as their repair, maintenance, and technical support.
- Production, sales, trading, and research, as well as all types of support services in the field of industry and energy.
- Participation in tenders of all kinds in the energy sector, both in Albania and abroad.
- Commercial activities in the energy sector.
- Conducting any commercial activities and operations in Albania or abroad that are directly or indirectly related to the company’s objectives or are necessary for promoting its business and achieving its goals.
This project is financed by the EBRD as well as grants from WBIF (Western Balkans Investment Framework).
