Heavy rains during the last hours, in the catchment area of the Drin River cascade have increased the levels of lakes in the Hydropower Plants of Koman and Vau i Dejës and HPP Fierzë.
Based on this situation, the Administrator of KESH, Mr. Benet Beci has called today in a meeting the Technical Secretariat of the Special Commission for the Treatment of Plots, for the treatment of natural flows in the cascade, in accordance with the Regulation for the discharge of Plots. The Technical Secretariat and the Special Commission for the Complete Treatment were acquainted with the current situation and are expected to make a decision in the coming days.
Currently the natural flows in the cascade are 3600 m3 / s, while the discharges from the gate of Hec Vau i Dejës are 700 m3 / s and in HPP Koman 400 m3 / s.
The levels in the lakes of the Drini Cascade are currently:
Fierza 286.09 m, Koman 173.30 m, Vau i Dejës 75.54 m
Meanwhile, KESH will continue to take all necessary measures to manage the situation by guaranteeing the full safety of dams and avoiding the negative impact of discharges in the sub-Shkodra area.
