Given the meteorological situation and high intensity of rainfall throughout Albania, the Electricity Corporation announces
to the public that the situation in the HPP of the Drin River cascade is totally under control in terms of safety of works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In terms of daily production, energy is currently being generated at full capacity in Hec Koman and Vau i Dej\u00ebs, 17,000 MWh,
fully meeting the supply demand from OSHEE. In Hec Fierz\u00eb currently no energy is being generated and is being administered in
order to accumulate inflows to increase the energy reserve and facilitate operational actions for inflow management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

KESH is managing the situation of water inflows in the cascade since the last days of December and the situation today is as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The levels in the lakes of the Drini Cascade are currently:
Fierza 280.29 mmnd,
Koman 174.42 mmnd,
Vau i Dej\u00ebs 75.58 mmnd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently the natural flows in the cascade are 3050 m3 \/ s, while the total discharges from Hec Vau i Dej\u00ebs are 500 m3 \/ s
from the discharge gates and 420m3 \/ s from the production of turbines, or about 30% of the natural flows in the Drin River.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

KESH is dynamically monitoring natural inflows and has taken all measures to anticipate the situation by accumulating the
vast majority of inflows in the lakes of Fierza, Koman and Vau i Dejes. The situation is being carefully monitored to ensure at
all times optimal management of inflows and discharges in order for their impact to be negligible for the area below Shkodra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
